Charity & Fundraising

We like a challenge here at Flavourfresh and so each year as a team we complete events in aid of our annual nominated charity.

We choose charities close to employees’ and our community’s hearts because we believe in giving something back to those in need. Some of the charities we have supported include:

We also have a company shop at our main site where we sell trial material and surplus stock, all proceeds go towards annual team events as well as our chosen annual charity. If you are ever passing please do call in, we would love to see you!

Yorkshire 3 Peaks

In June 2019, a Flavourfresh took part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, raising a total of £3850.36 for MS Society (£1170), Stand Up to Cancer (£2341.74) and Perennial (£1018.62). In addition, we recently carried out a MacMillan coffee morning raising a total of £825. Furthermore, we willingly donate produce to charity events and support the Fare Share scheme.

The Garage

2019 saw the opening of our very own company shop, based at the front of our main site ‘Aldergrove’ on Marsh Road in Banks. The shop is stocked with our flavoursome fruit from the month of March right through to the end of November when our UK crops are in season. It was opened to help and support the local community, making our produce easily accessible to everyone in the local area including our valued workforce.

All the funds raised from the shop are either put back into the community in the form of local sponsorship or supporting charitable events within the local community. We use the rest of the funds to help pay for social events for our hard working team to thank them and reward them for the work they do to produce our wonderful produce.

In addition to the funds we raise, we are happy to support charitable causes by providing fresh produce to help raise money for chosen charities. If you would like to request a charitable donation then please make contact through our social media accounts on both Facebook and Twitter or over email, social.media@flavourfresh.com. All we ask for in return is a photo and some information about how the produce was used to share the love.
